# Images, charts, and rich media

> Add meaningful visuals with stock images, generated artwork, icons, charts, tables, and custom graphics.

Presenton can combine written content with several kinds of visual material.

| Visual | Use it for |
| ---------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| Stock image | Real places, people, products, and familiar concepts |
| Generated image | Custom scenes, illustrations, and visual metaphors |
| Icon | Compact labels and simple concepts |
| Chart | Patterns, comparisons, change over time, and proportions |
| Table | Exact values and structured comparisons |
| Shape or graphic | Emphasis, grouping, process steps, and decoration |

## Image choices

Choose Pexels or Pixabay for stock photography. Choose Gemini, DALL·E, GPT Image, ComfyUI, Open WebUI, or another compatible image endpoint for generated visuals. You can also disable image generation and add visuals manually.

Text and image providers are independent. A local text model can use Pexels, and a hosted text model can use ComfyUI. Presenton also supports a separate OpenAI-compatible image endpoint for gateways that implement compatible image routes.

## Keep visuals useful

* Use a chart only when the pattern matters more than the individual values.
* Use a table when readers need exact values.
* Keep labels short and preserve source numbers exactly.
* Prefer one strong image over several decorative images.
* Check image crops and chart labels before export.
