# Create a presentation from a document

> Use a report or brief as the source for an editable presentation.

## Prepare the source

Choose a document with a clear topic. Note any figures, dates, or conclusions that must be preserved. For a first attempt, use one source instead of several overlapping files.

## Generate the deck

    Open the creation page in your Presenton instance.

  <Step title="Explain how to use the source">
    For example:

    > Turn the attached report into a seven-slide briefing for department leaders. Focus on the findings, risks, and recommended actions. Preserve reported figures exactly.

  <Step title="Attach the document">
    Upload the PDF, office document, spreadsheet, text file, or image and wait for processing to finish.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the outline against the source">
    Confirm that the most important findings are present and correctly prioritized. Add a missing recommendation or remove unnecessary background before continuing.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select a template and generate">
    Choose a design appropriate for the audience and create the presentation.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Verify source-based content">
    Compare important numbers, dates, names, and claims with the original file. Fix errors directly or through a precise assistant request.

  <Step title="Export and inspect">
    Download the final format and open it before sharing.

<Tip>
  Scanned PDFs and images require OCR. If recognition is poor, use a clearer scan or adjust the LiteParse OCR settings in your deployment.
